VolunteersVolunteers are the backbone of our organisation. We have only three paid staff in the UK and one in Uganda, all our other workers are volunteers and are an important, vital force within TWAM. Our collectors nationwide provide a valuable service with the collection and sorting of tools that have been donated. Volunteers refurbish the tools and pack them in our workshops. They also make up haberdashery kits for sending out with sewing machines. Volunteers drive our vans collecting donations and delivering them to the workshops, then collecting completed kits and transporting them to Ipswich. Volunteers test and adjust sewing and knitting machines, typewriters, power tools and many other items. They also load the shipping containers. Your help could make the world of difference.
